2. Principles of Data Processing
Badertscher Tool AG processes personal data in accordance with the FADP (in force since 1 September 2023). We are committed to the following principles:
- Lawfulness: We process personal data only on a valid legal basis.
- Purpose limitation: Data is collected only for the defined purpose.
- Data minimisation: We collect only the data that is necessary.
- Accuracy: We take appropriate measures to ensure data accuracy.
- Security: Appropriate technical and organisational measures.
- Transparency: We inform you openly about the processing of your data.
3. Data Collected & Purposes
We collect and process the following categories of personal data:

Processing is based on: contract fulfilment (Art. 31 para. 2 lit. a FADP), legitimate interest (Art. 31 para. 1 FADP) and your explicit consent.
4. Order Processing & Contract Fulfilment
Your data is used exclusively for processing your order and fulfilling the purchase contract.
Without the required mandatory information, we are unable to process and deliver your order.
After complete processing, your data is stored for the duration of the statutory retention periods (see section 10).
5. Disclosure to Third Parties
We do not pass on your personal data to third parties without your explicit consent, unless required for contract fulfilment.
- Shipping service providers (e.g. Swiss Post, DHL): name, delivery address
- Payment service providers (e.g. credit card companies, PayPal)
- IT service providers: operation of shop systems (under confidentiality obligation)
- Authorities: as required by law
Data is only transferred abroad if the recipient country guarantees an adequate level of data protection.

Our online shops use cookies – small text files stored on your device.
- Necessary cookies: Technically required (shopping cart, session, login) – cannot be deactivated.
- Functional cookies: Store your preferences.
- Analytics cookies: Only with your consent.
- Marketing cookies: Only with your explicit consent.
7. Analytics & Marketing Services
To improve our shops, we may use web analytics services.
We do not use services that create personalised profiles for advertising purposes without your consent.
8. Newsletter & Email Marketing
We only send newsletters on the basis of your explicit, revocable consent (opt-in procedure).
You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link or by email to mail@b-tool.ch.
9. Data Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data:
- Encrypted data transmission via SSL/TLS (recognisable by «https://»)
- Access restrictions to the necessary personnel
- Regular review and updating of security measures
- Contractual data security obligations for all service providers
In the event of a data breach likely to pose a high risk, we will notify you and the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
10. Retention Periods
We store your personal data only for as long as necessary:
- Order data and invoices: 10 years (statutory accounting obligation under CO)
- Customer account data: For the duration of the active account; deleted within 30 days on request
- Communication data: 3 years from closure of the process
- Newsletter data: Until withdrawal of consent
- Technical log data: Generally 30 to 90 days
- Cookie data: According to the periods shown in the cookie banner
11. Rights of Data Subjects
Under the Swiss FADP, you have the following rights. All requests are free of charge and responded to within 30 days:
